THE ORIGINS OF THE MOTF

The Wealth of Love is The Most Valuable form of Wealth there is

(Pete Perry, June 2011

WHO WILL HELP WITH 'THE FAMILY ALBUM'?

Way back in the midst of time when the MOTF was first formed, Pete wrote a whole batch of songs, starting with the MOTF Anthem, 'Oak Tree', followed by 'My Little Princess', 'Polaroid Bears'. 'Petals of a Child's Mind' and many more, which are listed further down. Pete (under the name of Perry Peterson) sang these songs with two 'Family' bands, 'Oak Tree International' (see picture above) and 'Archimedes', playing at venues all over North Herts, and once at a concert in Walthamstow, London. .

Unfortunately, although our good pal Aitch has recorded some of them as orchestral pieces, these songs were never recorded in their original form, with Pete on vocals, - and this is where you, our loyal readers (I can't stand the term 'Users'!) come in...

Pete is now 74 years old, and his great wish is to produce a 'Family Album': An album of MOTF songs, played by rock musicians, with Pete doing the lead vocals, just as he did in 1969-70.

Pete has now lost touch with most of the original bands. apart from Lead Guitarist with 'Oak Tree International' Chris Fone, (pictured below) - but Chris now lives in The USA.

Now we are asking if there are any musicians, backing vocalists and recording engineers out there who would be willing to give up their time to make this dream a reality.

Remember, - there would be no renumeration in this project, - just the fun and enjoyment of producing an album of original songs from the 1960s.

HELP MAKE THIS ANOTHER GREAT ADVENTURE!

MOTF Enterprises was spawned in the late Sixties from The Magic Oak Tree Family, (MOTF) - a Brotherhood of hippies, bikers, Mods and Rockers, and ordinary people who believe in Social Justice, free speech, Love, Peace and Happiness with others all over The Earth, regardless of their origins or religious beliefs. Headed by Pete Perry, (Uncle Pete) they believe that we should treat all living things, and the planet Earth itself with due respect.

The MOTF (Family) is not a club, so there are no set rules, no membership fees, no uniform, just the MOTF Symbol, and the shared belief that all the peoples of The World should become one big family.

IF YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF THE MOTF, THEN YOU ALREADY ARE!

When the MOTF was first formed in 1968, Pete, helped by other members of The Family, created a wall at 39 The Oundle, Stevenage Herts, which they called 'The Wall of Sussitation'. This is The Wall below, Click on the bottom left-hand corner of the image to see a larger version.

THE WALL OF SUSSITATION shows all the dreams and philosophies  of THE MOTF.

IN PRAISE OF NIKKI

THE LAST TIME NIKKI WROTE ABOUT THE MAN SHE LOVES, SHE RECEIVED CRITICISM FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE KNOWN PETE FOR MANY MANY YEARS, POINTING OUT THAT SHE HAS ONLY BEEN WITH PETE FOR SEVEN  YEARS, SO HOW WOULD SHE KNOW?

Well, whilst it is true that other people have known Pete for over forty years, many have grown up being members of THE MAGIC OAK TREE FAMILY, and simply 'accept' the fact that Pete does these things without accepting thanks or payment.

NIKKI JUST WANTS TO MAKE SURE OTHER PEOPLE KNOW THIS...

* * * * * * *

It all started with a bed-in for Peace, and this is reported in WIKIPEDIA in these words, after a feature on John and Yoko...

In the same year the British author and botanist Peter Perry held a two week bed-in in Stevenage Hertfordshire. He left his front door open and invited anyone to drop in and say hello. He later started the 'Magic Oak Tree Family' which consisted of his various visitors, which is still alive and well globally.
