Pete married Shirley Gratwick (centre left) on 28th August 1970 after knowing her for only a few months.

Very soon, they moved from the home of The MOTF at 39 The Oundle Stevenage, to a larger house with a large garden, just up the road at 23 Sleaps Hyde, Stevenage...

...and Pete began an environmental campaign...

In 1973, Pete began a campaign in The Luton Evening Post to plant more trees, and it continued right through the 70s and 80s...

Pete at work on his environmental projects, which included the Stevenage LA21 committee, which worked out the recycling schemes used to this day...

He also began a campaign to eradicate The GIANT HOGWEED from Stevenage and North Herts

.. always approached with a sense of humour of course!
