Pete began acting at school, in the occasional school play, and then, as a teenager, he began appearing in comedy sketches with his friends, Derek and Cyril...

Here, we see the three on stage singing 'Three Juvenile Delinquents' as 'The Three Charlies', which they actually recorded!

Then, in the early sixties, Pete started compering stage shows and impersonating famous people of the time...

He then went on to avct as The Genie of The Lamp in the pantomime ALADDIN in 1965...

...and also sing on stage under the name of Perry Peterson, with his own songs and bands, and accompanied by others...

Here, he sings to daughter Vivien in 'Rollin' On', which was also produced by Pete
