PETE AND THE GOVERNMENT
Amazingly, ever since Pete started The Magic Oak Tree Family (MOTF) in 1968, he has been on the UK Government's 'Black List'. How do we know that? - well, sit back and we'll tell you...

Back in 1969, a young submariner, Denis Pipe (pictured above), joined The Family. He worked on a top-secret submarine, but became a part of The MOTF.
In civilian life, he was a biker, and so impressed with The Family was he that he had the MOTF symbol painted onto the back of his leather jacket.
When he returned to base after leave, he was called into The Admiral's office, and questioned about his involvement with The Magic Oak Tree Family. At first, he thought it was a joke, but The Admiral produced a huge file on The MOTF, which named every known member!
A few months later, another Family member, John Austen, who was in the army, was also questioned by his Commanding Officer about his involvement with The MOTF.
Pete met his second wife Shirley Gratwick in 1970, and she moved in with him a few weeks later.
Nikki Heydon worked as a cleaning contractor for Astrium in Stevenage (a government company which used to be part of BAe) in 2006.
When she applied for direct employment, she asked Pete to act as a referee. She was called to the office, surrounded by security guards, and asked how she knew Pete Perry. When she told them he was her boyfriend, they asked her to leave and had her escorted off the premises!

Nikki is now the third Mrs Perry.
Shirley had been working at BAe Stevenage for several years. However, when her bosses discovered that she was living with Pete and intended to marry him, they told her that because of her association with Pete Perry, and The MOTF, she would have to leave.

During the 70s, Pete worked for F T Gearing Landscapes of Stevenage. At one time, Fred Gearing sent Pete to do contract work at BAe. This continued for several months, until Pete decided to apply for a permanent job. As soon as his application was received by BAe bosses, they telephoned Fred Gearing to tell him not to send Pete Perry to the site any more, as he was a security risk!

Why is Pete on The Government's Black List? Who knows? He is a pacifist, and maybe that's the problem! Or maybe it's because he speaks out on Social matters against the government.
