THE GENERATION GAME - WHO'S THE BEST?
We are the best because..
We are old farts and have forgotten more than anyone will ever know or appreciate.
We were there when rock music was born and the music that everyone loves now was just beginning
We were there when the Beatles were the greatest pop group in the world and Elvis Presley was King
We were there when the only things that were important was family, friendship and love.
Tony #1
The Pixie Postmaster of The Magic Oak Tree Family.
PETE'S COMMENT: Any contenders?
* * * * * * *
Yes, BUT he's forgetting that there ARE many younger people, like myself, who DO appreciate and love good times too.
They are not forgotten! It's not just OLD people that remember the good times that he refers to.
Rather disrespectful to the younger generation, me thinks!
NIKKI XX
PETE'S COMMENT: Well, I think my mate and my wife are both correct! How? Well, look no further than the fact that Nikki & I work together as a couple and as a team, proving that age and youth work well together, but most importantly, Nikki is, as my wonderful wife, my family, and Tony is part of the Wider Family. Enough said?

Your entry is surely a bit misleading. If the Duke did come home and shoot Grouse I would be quite surprised. Black Grouse are pictured and the nearest must be hundreds of miles away from Sandringham. Red Grouse would have been nearer, but that story can't be true for the simple reason that the GROUSE SHOOTING SEASON HAS ENDED. He may well have shot Pheasants or Partridges, but not grouse. You do really need to be sure of your facts.
It's been sort of a secret until a few days ago but we are excited to let you know that she has signed an agreement with EMI/Virgin/Capitol Records as a Finalist in their MOArtist Competition. She's really grateful and considers it a Christmas gift! Hi Pete & Nikki, I was interested in your piece regarding customer service at Maplins ( Stevenage ). About 18 months ago I had difficulty in obtaining an electrical component. (I cant remember what exactly) Anyhow, after cruising around other outlets I went, (with not much hope) to Maplins.
The young man there was not only pleasant, but knowledgable enough to sort out the problem and supply the component.
As I remember it, I wrote to head office in this region to praise the work of the lad and to commend his customer service I hope he was contacted about my letter and hoped he benefited by his work.
All the very best to you both this Christmas,
from Dave & Pam Strutt

Hi Pete & Nikki
chemicaland motor industries, that they will not face up to the truth of global warming, and the need to cut down on CO2 emissions. It's sad really!
McPARTLAND'S CAGE'Dear Pete and Nikki,
Thanks for sharing this. I'm sorry your MP feels so inconvenienced by his voters choosing to email him with questions!
His points about the reasons for withholding the NHS risk register simply restate the government's old arguments as set out in the Information Commissioner's ruling arguments which the Information Commissioner goes on to reject in ruling the government has breached the law and should publish the document.
Mr McPartland may not like the Information Commissioner's ruling, or 38 Degrees highlighting it, but the fact remains that the Information Commissioner said "there is a very strong public interest in disclosure of the information" and has ordered the government to release it (though they still have not done so). You can read the full ruling here:http://t.co/h3mfnl0NOur original communication also included a link to the Information Commissioner's ruling, something Mr McPartland does not do for all his claims that we have misrepresented it.
I think you would have every right to complain about Mr McPartland's stated intention to ignore future contact from you. Most 38 Degrees members believe that they have every right to write to their MPs asking for their concerns to be addressed, and every right to expect the MP to respond saying where they stand. It doesn't seem to be particularly relevant whether this is done through a particular website, by post or by e-mail the point is you are a voter, and he is your elected representative.
Here are two suggestions of things you can do:
Ring his office to complain, and ask for a meeting with him in your constituency to discuss this. If you have a meeting arranged, if you like it would be possible for us to e-mail other 38 Degrees members in the area and invite them to come along with you we can make a bit of a thing of it. Someone from the 38 Degrees office could come along too if you like. The numbers we have for Mr McPartland's office are01438 728139and020 7219 7156.
Write a letter to the local paper highlighting their plan to ignore local voters. From their website it looks like the contact form for The Comet is here:http://www.thecomet.net/contact-us/contact-us, and they can be called on 01438 866000.
Although this is really pretty terrible behaviour from your MP, it does also suggest that your pressure is getting to him keep it up!
All best wishes,
David & the 38 Degrees team

Comment on BIG BROTHER IS HERE -NOW!
I have read George Orwell's 1984 and i have to say,, i strongly agree with you both,, we don't live in a free state. We live in a state controlled by the people behind the scenes who don't reveal themselves because they seem to enjoy watching us waiting for us to do wrong... then when it happens they send other people they control after us... to be honest i don't see that as free!

What can I say? Pete you have been and still are an achiever, an example to all those people who think they are getting old.
You are a great inspiration and liver of life, long may you continue to enjoy. Congrats.

DAVID POINTS THE FINGER OF SUSPICION
Hi Pete & Nikki
Regarding you picture of the finger pointing through the wall (above), and staying in a course mood and lowering the tone, are you sure that it’s
Pete’s finger hovering over that light switch.? Answers on a plain envelope please. P.s. Nikki can answer this if she wishes!!

We were pleased to get this letter from TOM MASSEY (The Frank he refers to is FRANK MURPHY who helped Pete launch Phase two of Switchboard)...
I hope that we can get together sometime in the near future.
And..
When we have enough decent people, families & groups with the same will and constructive objectives we will turn the tide of greed, corruption and disrespect
