The Mind is The Boss, The Body is The Factory, and the Cells are the Workforce.Make sure that The Boss is in control, and the factory will thrive.(Pete Perry, September 1956)PETE'S OPEN SECRET
Pete Perry is 73 years old, and is married to Nikki, who is 36. He has survived a stroke, paralysing the entire left side of his body, (he regained complete control within a week!) a crippling complaint called polymyositis (which left him unable to walk), three heart attacks and he still has his own teeth and hair! When he discovered, by angiogram, that his aorta was blocked, he amazed doctors a month later, when they discovered it had cleared. WHAT IS PETE'S SECRET? Here is the explanation, published for the first time..

PSYCHOSUPANATAPHYSIOLOGY
By PETE PERRY

This is the name I gave to the theory that I
formed back in 1956, after completing my medical training in the RAF.
I had learned that the body has certain automatic responses that we do not conciously think about. For example, we automatically breath without thinking about it. True, we can control our breathing to a certain extent, but we could not commit suicide simply by holding our breath. This is because if we hold our breath long enough to pass out, the automatic system will take over, and we will start breathing again. The same goes for the body fighting diseases and malfunctions. Without thinking about it, our bodies will fight bacteria and viruses and produce antibodies. In fact, our bodies want to live, and with a little help from our concious minds, we can not only fight diseases and bodily malfunctions more efficiently, - I believe that we can actually repair damage, regenerate and rejuvenate our bodies, and maybe even live forever!
On the right, is the original article I wrote in my Anatomy & Physiology book at RAF Warton Medical Training Centre in 1956... together with the original drawings I made at the time. I was 19 years old...

As a nursing Attendant, I conciously got rid of boils from my own body, simply by willing them away, and during the Asian flu epidemic of 1957/58, I was the only one on camp that didn't get the infection.
EVEN THE M.O CAUGHT IT!

The body is the servant, the mind is the master. The master gives the orders and the servant obeys. However, if the master ignores the servant, the servant will revolt.
In other words, I believe the mind can have complete control over the body, and that is the meaning of this concept, - the study of mind over matter.
If you put your hand on a hot surface, your mind immediately sends an alarm to your nerves which causes your arm muscles to contract, pulling your hand away from danger...

Mind you, if you had been alert, you would not have placed yourself in danger in the first place!
When harmful bacteria or viruses (remember there are also GOOD bacteria) enter your body, your mind sends out an alarm to all parts of the body, causing chemical substances called Antibodies, to go to the affected area. Upon arrival, a battles ensues between the bacteria or viruses and the antibodies...

The antibodies, more often than not, in a healthy body, win the battle, without you even realising it. occasionally though, the attacking army get the upper hand, and you may suffer a fever, which is all a part of the process. Your body may then send reinforcements...

Think then, how much more effective this battle could be if your mind, the 'Master' could conciously send out reinforcements!
