ARE YOU BEING RIPPED OFF?

IT ASDA BE CHALLENGED!

Three times in the past two weeks I have been overcharged at Asda, and it was only because I have just started checking my receipts that I found out and managed to get my money back, but how many times had it happened to me before I checked it and how many of you shoppers have never checked receipts and trust that the supermarkets not to con you out of money?

Since highlighting this, four of my friends have come forward and told me they have had the same problem.

On two occasions I brought something priced at £2 went through on self checkout and they have charged me a extra pound, unbelievable!

This i got corrected, but if I hadn’t noticed then I would of been out of pocket and none the wiser just like you trustworthy shoppers, they have most probably conned us out hundreds of pounds already but it's got to stop!

PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE AND DON’T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT!

NIKKI & 38 DEGREES RATTLES McPARTLAND'S CAGE!

Nikki has done it again!

Backing the campaign by pressure group 38 Degrees, My wonderful wife wrote to Stevenage MP Stephen McPartland, asking him to get The Governent to publish the proposed Health Reforms Risk Register.

Here is his reply....(and he didn't even get her NAME right - It's MRS Nicola D Perry!) ...

Well, this seems to us, that Mr. McPartland and his sorry excuse for a Government are running scared, - burying their heads in the sand and acting like kids, 'Whistle whistle, I'm not listening!'

ROBIN HOOD IN REVERSE!

Here are more examples of this government's policies of robbing the poor to line the pockets of the rich...

Former soldier Mark Mullins and his wife Helen, (pictured right) both aged 48, died in a suicide pact after giving up on a life of grinding poverty and food parcels from the Salvation Army, for which they had to walk six miles each way every week.

On top of ths, they were reduced to putting the food outside in the cold night air, as they couldn't affrod a fridge, or the electricity to run it if they had.

Every two minutes between now and Christmas Day, someone in Britain will face the prospect of losing their home. That's the finding of new research from the housing charity Shelter, highlighting the struggles the property market still faces.

According to the charity's research, around 35,000 people face a battle to keep a roof over their head in time for Santa's arrival.

The charity has launched a campaign to highlight the plight of the hundreds of people each day who will receive a letter threatening them with homelessness, and the impact such an experience can have on their mental health.

Shelter's research found that 61% of people who have either been homeless or faced the threat of homelessness said it had led directly to a stress related illness.

The situation is hardly any better in the rental market.

Social landlords are already reporting a rise in rent arrears following the government's move to reduce housing benefit earlier this year. Meanwhile, research by the Financial Inclusion Centre earlier this year concluded that as many as three million renters are in a vulnerable position, either behind on their rent or struggling to pay it each month.

What's more, with rents continuing to rise astronomically, barely a month goes by without one firm active in the rental market proclaiming a new record high — this is only likely to get worse.

 Remember that David Cameron manipulated the electorate into voting for him as he had a disabled child, who unfortunately passed away, and yet his government has reduced the cold weather payments for pensioners and the disabled! Because of this, there is expected to be a steep rise in the number of cold-related deaths amongst the elderly.

Well, let's be honest here - although Cameron pulled at our heart-srtrings over his disabled son, - it's not as though he couldn't pay for the very best care, and nannies for any of his children, is it?

HAS THE MAN NO MORALS AT ALL?

AND ALL THE TIME, THOSE AT THE TOP CONTINUE TO PAY THEMSELVES HUGE BONUSES AND AWARD THEMSELVES ASTRONOMICAL PAY RISES.

HAS THIS GOVERNMENT NO HEART?

AS WE HAVE SAID BEFORE, THIS GOVERNMENT, MADE UP OF RICH LITTLE PUBLIC SCHOOLBOYS, HAVE NO IDEA OF HOW WE, THE OTHER HALF, LIVE, - AND ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING THE RICH RICHER AT THE EXPENSE OF THE REAL WORKERS IN THIS COUNTRY, - THE APTLY-NAMED WORKING CLASSES

No wonder the unions are planning an unprecedented walk-out on 30th this month...

HAVE THE BANKS NO SHAME OR SCRUPLES?

Just so you know that we are not the only ones to slate the banks for uncrupulous profiteering, we would like to publish this letter we received recently...

Lloyds Bank Profiteering from a Forces Charity.

Being very proud of the 23 years I spent in the Army, I decided to give something back, so I volunteered to be the Treasurer of the Hampshire Branch of ABF The Soldiers Charity.

We currently raise approximately 70k-80k per year which is used to provide support to serving, ex serving and families of soldiers who are in need. Today, the conflicts may be different, but the pressures on our soldiers remain.

As we are all too aware from the news, the Army is bearing the strain of the current conflicts. Hundreds of soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq with many more injured both mentally and physically. And I am willing to do my bit to help them.

We Bank through the Lloyds Bank and I want to make you aware of their disgraceful profiteering attitude.

The Lloyds Bank have informed me (Despite our account with them being registered as a charity and using our registered charity number, ) that because of the generosity of the public, the turnover of our account is more than 50k they consider us not to be a charity but a small business and intend to charge us an average of 50 per month. So instead of all the donations being given to our brave soldiers in need, they will siphon off about 600 per year for their profits.

Although this is only small, it could be used to provide a WW2 veteran with a comfortable bed to sleep on or contribute towards adapting the layout of Trooper Stephen Shine mothers home in London.
