Pete married Shirley Gratwick on 28th August 1970 after knowing her for only a few months... she immediately stopped some of The Family members from meeting at the house, and asked Pete to cover up The Wall of Sussitation.

Very soon, they moved from the home of The MOTF at 39 The Oundle Stevenage, to a larger house with a large garden, just up the road at 23 Sleaps Hyde, Stevenage...

...and Pete began an environmental campaign in The Luton Evening Post, - the only newspaper that would take his views seriously...

In 1973, Pete began a campaign in The Luton Evening Post to plant more trees, and it continued right through the 70s and 80s...

Pete at work on his environmental projects, which included the Stevenage LA21 committee, which worked out the recycling schemes used to this day...

He also began a campaign to eradicate The GIANT HOGWEED from Stevenage and North Herts

.. always approached with a sense of humour of course!

Pete's Wildlife Garden

Pete often featured in GARDEN NEWS (1988) in his beloved garden at Sleaps Hyde, Stevenage...

His Wildlife Garden became quite well known..

Here, we see Pete's unique 10-foor Fuschia tree...

A four-foot iris...

Pete's own creation, 'Primula Perryanthus'

Fuchsia 'Sunset'

Primula Alpicola violacea

Pete's garden became so well known that a letter addressed simp-ly to 'Pete Perry. Wildlife Garden, Stevenage' was delivered the day after it was posted.
